Numbers prove Tom Brady signing is best in Buccaneers franchise history

There is very little that has done more for the Buccaneers as a franchise than signing Tom Brady. The past few years show this clearly.

The Tom Brady era is one that no Buccaneers fan will ever forget. The massive change that has come over the last three years from one singular free agent signing is almost impossible to calculate.

The Bucs went from being one of the worst teams in the league to one of the best. A second Lombardi Trophy has a way of changing careers for many of the members of the team. And, arguably above many of the other things, the Buccaneers have made a lot of money off Brady.

Not only is Brady’s jersey one of the top sellers in the NFL, but the Buccaneers are also the highest-selling team in the NFL according to SeatGeek.

That is a pretty substantial rise for a team that was barely able to fill half of Raymond James as recently as three years ago.

The Buccaneers went from having one of the worst home-field advantages (if we could even call it that) to one of the best in a very short time. Tampa was able to improve the number in the win column while also being able to improve their bottom line. Is there a better move out there?

Many people assumed the initial move by the Bucs was just a cash grab to try and make some money off an aging Brady. We all know how that went instead.

The future in Tampa is now extremely bright due to this decision. Not only are there going to be fans in the stadium for another year, but the team is in a great position to compete in 2022. The next step on this plan is to figure out how to keep people in seats after Brady retires.

Something tells us the other quarterbacks on the roster don’t exactly have the same draw, but we will cross that bridge as we get there.
