Breakout candidate #2 for the Buccaneers in 2022

Rachaad White

A rookie on this list. Yes, we are absolutely prisoners of the moment. But how can you not get caught up in the excitement surrounding this kid?

Bringing in one of the most athletic running backs in the history of the sport with a history of catching passes to pair with Tom Brady is nothing to take lightly. This fit could prove excellent down the road, and White does have a clear path towards starting this season.

It will take some time for the rook to carve out a role with Leonard Fournette and Giovani Bernard serving as the primary options, but this is not out of the question.

White has everything required mentally and physically to succeed on this team. There is a fit as a player, the running back depth chart isn’t set in stone, and there is a way to actually give White the necessary steps to actually break out.

We don’t want to get too far ahead of ourselves, but Tampa’s struggles with rookie running backs could be coming to a close if White turns out to be the player that most people see him as.
