Breakout candidate #3 for the Buccaneers in 2022

Mike Edwards

Edwards is a bit of a tricky one on this list. Would we say that he has already broken out? A few excellent moments and an All-Pro-Caliber season make it seem like he has already reached this mark, but things could change as he moves into the limelight as a full-time starter.

The Bucs have a mountain of proof that their young safety is going to dominate with a large sample size. If he was able to find so much success while only playing around 30% of the snaps for most of his career, imagine what he could do with twice that many.

Edwards would start getting attention for individual honors and become a common-place on talk shows and the news.

This kid is special. There should be no denying it any long. The Bucs have a future star in their midst, and all they need to do to unlock him is play him more.

If there was a guy on this list that has the best chance of being the biggest player next year, Edwards looks like that guy without question.

Trending. Buccaneers still need to see more from key leader in 2022. light
