At this point in his career, Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady calls most things as he sees them. This might piss off some Bills fans.
Those that don’t like Tom Brady aren’t going to start magically liking him in a Buccaneers jersey. Well, Bucs fans did change, but those that already disliked Brady have probably only deepened their stance on the GOAT.
One fanbase that is assuredly ready for Brady to retire is the Buffalo Bills.
They might hope for this to happen even more after Brady’s most recent comments on his past with the Bills as a means of talking trash with Josh Allen ahead of their high-profile golf match.
Josh Allen is one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL period, but let’s not pretend that he has already put himself on the Brady trajectory. There is room for MVP conjecture and questions about the playoffs last season, but those have been far from the norm.
Prior to the past few seasons (and in 2021), Allen and the Bills struggled to stay in the same conversation as someone as talented as Brady other than “…..just lost to Brady and the Pats/Bucs.”
Brady is right. Allen is good, but what has he proven against Brady? He was great in the game against the Bucs this past season, but one good showing is hard to compare to what Brady has done against the Bills during his career.
Brady owns Buffalo. The GOAT is a shocking 33-3 against the Bills during his career with his most recent loss coming in 2014. None of those wins for Buffalo were with Allen, and Brady isn’t going to let anyone forget that.
This is all a funny way of looking at the game, but Tom Brady does make a point, and Allen and the rest of his younger cohort will need to find a way to get past Brady if they wants to make a name for themselves officially.
