Every Buccaneers fan should already know that Jason Pierre-Paul isn’t coming back. Could he end up landing with the Ravens after his visit?
If you still think that Jason Pierre-Paul is coming back to the Buccaneers, you are probably looking at the situation through the lens of a bit too much optimism.
The Bucs clearly don’t have any desire to keep JPP on their roster long-term, and it is pretty clear through their actions and giving Pierre-Paul’s number away that they don’t plan on changing up on this stance either.
This is fine. Everyone knew this was coming. Joe Tryon-Shoyinka needs starting reps for the Bucs to further develop him. But the whole situation hurts just a bit more if JPP ends up on the schedule for the Buccaneers in 2022.
JPP isn’t a world-beater at this stage of his career, but having to play against a guy that was so important to your team is still an emotional and difficult prospect. It looks like that could happen if Pierre-Paul signs with the Ravens.
My understanding is the #Ravens visit with Jason Pierre-Paul went well after a long day from his physical to meeting with folks. Pierre-Paul was still meeting as of about less than a couple hours ago, per source. We’ll see if both sides can get something done moving forward.

The Ravens are one of the best-run teams in the NFL. From the way they handle the draft to free agency and everything in between, this organization has proven for a long time that it knows how to build and maintain a roster.
When you add in an MVP quarterback, a great head coach, and one of the best defenses in the NFL, JPP is going to be hard-pressed to find a better fit out there if he wants to win a Super Bowl.
Baltimore currently looks like one of the favorites to win the AFC if they can stay healthy, and going after proven guys like Pierre-Paul is the best way to make this happen.
That game is already going to be extremely difficult for the Bucs, and adding in another great player to that defense would only make life more difficult.
Let’s hope he goes somewhere else.
