Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver and Super Bowl champion Mike Evans has been announced for the Texas A&M 2022 Hall of Fame class.

Mike Evans’ college, The Texas A&M Aggies have officially announced that he will be included in their 2022 Hall of Fame class!

Evans played at Texas A&M for two seasons, amassing just under 2,500 yards and 17 touchdowns before becoming the first round pick for our Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

During his time in college, Evans was one of the most feared receivers in college football, as few players possessed his combination of size, speed, route running, and ball skills. He was a complete package then, just as he is for us now.

Evans currently holds the single-season receiving yards record at Texas A&M with 1,394 and has their top-two best single-game performances as he had some truly incredible performances during the 2013 season.

After becoming our first round pick, Evans has obviously been the example of consistency, as he has had over 1,000 receiving yards every single year he has been in the league. He has battled through injuries, poor QB play, and overall offensive inconsistency before getting to enjoy the recent success and throughout it all he has produced and has been the model team player that one would hope for in a first round pick.

It truly is great to see one of the best of all time getting recognized for his greatness. At the professional level, Evans has been consistently great but has not received the praise and recognition that he deserves, likely due to starting his career on some bad teams and not having the flashy attitude. Evans is a high character guy who doesn’t need to showboat or have the attention always on him, but he will go out and help his team win every single game.

Mike Evans is the best receiver to ever put on a Buccaneer uniform, there’s really no denying that from a statistics perspective, and I look forward to him one day being inducted into the Bucs Ring of Honor as well!
