Key roster cuts for the Buccaneers

Scotty Miller

The Buccaneers don’t really have that many open spots at receiver. The three starters are entrenched and Johnson and Darden are too young to cut.

Miller doesn’t do enough to warrant staying on the roster as an undersized outside guy that can only get vertical.

Breshad Perriman

A veteran starter, Perriman just doesn’t bring enough to the table to force the Bucs to cut Grayson, Darden, or Johnson.

Ryan Succop

This one might be a bit out of left field. Succop has been decent during his time with the Bucs, but it is always a good idea to keep an open competition at the position. Jose Borregales is cheaper, and there is a good chance that he look much better during camp and win the job.

It also works that Borregales would be cheaper for the Bucs.

Ko Kieft

A blocking tight end that can’t catch isn’t worth taking a spot away from another position. Kieft should stay on the practice squad and get a chance at some point, but the Bucs don’t run the ball enough to warrant someone of his skillset as of yet.
