The Buccaneers are known for having one of the best offensive lines in the NFL. Ryan Jensen getting hurt could change this status.

There is a reason why players always negotiate for how they are compensated during practices and when training camp should start. The Buccaneers are unfortunately getting to experience this first-hand as they deal with a potential injury to one of their most important players before the season even begins.

This problem derailed the team at times last year, and it looks like the same thing could be happening again.

According to Greg Auman from Bucs training camp, Ryan Jensen suffered a pretty bad injury during the course of play today.

A cart is never a good sign. Ryan Jensen being on a cart is a disaster.

Of all the players on the Buccaneers, Jensen just might be the toughest. He is the type of player that would be walking off the field if he was dragging part of his leg behind him if he was actually able. A cart shows that Jensen wasn’t actually able to walk, and that almost always means this is a long-term injury.

While no details have come out yet, there aren’t a lot of injuries that can happen to a leg that don’t require serious surgery or a long time away from the game. It is far too soon to start wondering about ACL or ankle, but it is fair to assume this will be a tough blow to one of the best offensive lines in football.

Every Buccaneers fan is undoubtedly hoping that this is not serious for the sake of Jensen and that this will be something that he can overcome quickly.

The Bucs have the depth, but that still doesn’t take away from a blow like this to such an important player that serves as a heart for the team.
