Buccaneers would probably take the vet discount

Does Suh count as a former Buccaneer yet? It already feels like he has left the roster based on the courting and comments that we have watched for the past few months, but it seems like all of the Suh moves have been more smoke than fire.

While there should still be some market for a veteran like Suh, it also makes sense that he isn’t getting a contract on the level of his most recent one with the Bucs.

Perhaps the grass isn’t actually all that much greener on the open market.

If Suh continues at this current rate and doesn’t have a new team by the start of the regular season, a return to Tampa does make some sense for both parties.

For the Bucs, Suh would be in a position where he would have no choice but to play on a very light deal. This would give Tampa back one of their defensive leaders, and it would come at the price they originally wanted.

For Suh, he would at least get to still play football with the chance to win a ring.

This would be a win-win for both sides if Suh can’t actually find a new home on the open market, although this does feel far less likely than a guy like Nassib coming back.

The Bucs did already spend plenty at this position already, and assuming Suh would be ok with a limited role and money could be too much.
