While the Buccaneers came up short in the box score, there was a lot to be happy about in their matchup against the Dolphins.

Last night’s game ended up being a loss for the Buccaneers, but it sure did feel like a win.

No one actually cares about the win-loss column in the preseason anyway, and the only thing that matters is that players grew.

The Buccaneers depth players absolutely got better last night, and these three guys were some of the biggest winners.

Kyle Trask

Not sure than anyone needed to look better than Trask did last night. A year of questioning and some weaker camp performances in the last week have filled his doubters with ammunition, but that all went out after the performance last night.

Trask balled out. There isn’t another way to put it.

Sure, there were a few missteps that are common for guys without a ton of NFL experience, but Kyle Trask was able to prove that his spot on the roster is secure and that he should get a chance to be the next face of the franchise when Tom Brady retires.

The rest of training camp will be very important for Trask, and more performances like that would go a long way towards furthering his status in the league.
