The Buccaneers got a great showing from Jerreth Sterns

Jerreth Sterns

I liked this kid as a long shot to make the 53 when it was announced that the Buccaneers signing him as an UDFA. Those chances might look a little better after what we saw last night.

There are still a lot of reps that need to happen over the next few weeks before we really start to look at the final roster and what difficult decisions the Buccaneers are going to make with their wide receiver room, but Jerreth Sterns did everything right with his opportunity.

Sterns caught a brilliant ball from Trask for a touchdown, was involved without trying to do too much, and appears to fit in with the offense like a glove.

To further his chances, Sterns looked much better than Cyril Grayson last night, and he was actually on the field, something that is working against veteran Breshad Perriman.

We don’t want to get too far ahead of ourselves with Sterns, especially not when there is so much talent in that room, but the Bucs could have a steal of signing on their hands if Sterns keeps making plays like he did last night.

Expect his chances of making the roster to go up dramatically if the Buccaneers decide to keep seven receivers.
