The bad injury luck continues for the Buccaneers. It is almost hard to be surprised at this point. The left guard position is starting to look more clear.

Is cursed the right word for the Buccaneers? Unlucky?

Does the world hate Tom Brady? Are the Bucs not doing enough on the strength and conditioning side of things if they are facing so many injuries?

Regardless of the reasoning, it is more than fair to say that Tampa is dealing with a massive injury problem right now.

Ryan Jensen is still likely out for most or all of the season, there are nearly a dozen other nagging injuries that will have guys out from between now and the early part of the season, and Aaron Stinnie has just joined that list as well as another offensive lineman that will be out for the season.

According to Jenna Laine, the Bucs lost Stinnie to a torn ACL and MCL. Thats a season-ender, and the news couldn’t be worse for a guy that still looked like he was in the driver’s seat for the starting left guard role.

The Bucs did spend a draft pick on guard Luke Goedeke, but what we saw through camp and the early preseason games seemed to favor Stinnie as a veteran that offered a bit more safety in the short term.

Outside of something crazy happening, it looks like the job will now be Goedeke’s to lose.

The Bucs might still go to the market if they really aren’t confident in their rookie, but that doesn’t really track in the present.

This is another huge blow for an offensive line that will already have three new faces on it. Hopefully Stinnie is able to heal up quickly and will get a shot to finally earn that starting role again.
