Everyone who has been watching knows Rachaad White is going to be a star for the Buccaneers. His new role will make this even easier to prove.

The Buccaneers are primed to have their best running back room in years with Leonard Fournette at the helm with three competent additions in Giovani Bernard, Ke’Shawn Vaughn, and rookie Rachaad White.

The trio is able to compliment the offense in different ways as well as anyone, and the Bucs have plenty of options in moving the ball if they want to go on the ground or through the air.

After Fournette has been where the room tends to drop off in the past, but that doesn’t appear to be an issue for the 2022 season after the most recent move by the Buccaneers.

Assuming the below unofficial depth chart has any truth to it, the Bucs have a new backup for Fournette:

Rachaad White is a beast and has earned every bit of this honor. Being one of the main running backs for an offense with Tom Brady is no small task, and the rookie has done everything right en route to achieving this acknowledgement.

The team will still put most of its trust in the veteran over the rookie, but White is going to get plenty of touches if this holds true.

Whether it is on a passing down or on a run, White has shown nothing but confidence in both areas during his stint in the preseason. When you pair these performances with an infectious attitude and some excellent practices, White became a no-brainer for an opportunity like this.

The Buccaneer offense got better from this move. Rachaad White needs to be on the field for 20 reps per game if the Bucs want their offense to be as potent as possible, and it is nice to see that the team made this decision now rather than waiting for the end of the season.
