The Tampa Bay Buccaneers came away with a win in their opening game of 2022. Here are the bronze, silver, and gold medalists in the Buccaneers’ victory.

In a hard-fought game, perhaps harder fought in ways that few expected, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are 1-0 to start their 2022 season after going into Jerry World and defeating the Dallas Cowboys. We will now shout out (at least) three Buccaneers players that deserve our bronze, silver, and gold medals in the win.

First, we will shout out some honorable mentions for the Bucs.

Honorable Mentions: Mike Evans, Julio Jones, Anthony Nelson

Anthony Nelson may not have had the best game statistically, but he did provide constant pressure on whoever was under center for the Cowboys and did record a sack and an extra tackle for a little sum’ sum’ on the side to provide the Bucs with pass-rush depth that was once seen as a concern. Mike Evans remains one of the best receivers in the league and provided the only touchdown with a circus catch in the play of the night. Julio Jones, meanwhile, looks to be taking the steps to get back to his old self, and that is something to be spotlighted.

Now let’s get to the medals.

Buccaneers Bronze Medal Winner: LB Devin White

Devin White was the subject was of a lot of scorn a year ago for what some fans considered inconsistent play, particularly in coverage. The crazy thing was that White still made the Pro Bowl. That being the case, White had a lot to prove. The fact that this is a contract year for the talented young linebacker is the icing on the cake.

White was up for the challenge and then some. White led all players (Micah Parsons included), lead all players with seven total tackles (eight total), and included two sacks. White was flying around the field and jumped off the screen. If the Buccaneers get this White the rest of the way, he will become a rich man, and there will be some happy fans.
