The Buccaneers offense is broken. There is no way around it. Even with all of the injuries in mind, what we saw on the field was inexcusable.

Yes, we know, before you all jump to say it; the Buccaneers are dealing with a mountain of injuries. Between the offensive line and almost all of the quality wide receivers being out, the Bucs are facing an uphill battle on that side of the ball, but that is still no excuse for what we have seen so far on the year.

The Bucs legitimately have one of the worst offenses in football right now. Three touchdowns in three games is a ridiculous pace for a team with such a great quarterback, yet here we are.

Byron Leftwich, Tom Brady, and a ragtag group of receivers sputtered in a game where just two offensive touchdowns would win the game, yet that measly feat eluded the 2-0 Bucs against their best opponent of the season.

The defense buckled down after the first quarter and dominated the Packer offense, but the Bucs aren’t going to win much with some of the lowest offensive success rates in the NFL.

We get it, injuries happen. But Tom Brady arguably still had the better receiving corps on the day, yet Aaron Rodgers came out with the win.

Injuries are just going to be a defining characteristic of this Bucs team. Anyone who didn’t see this coming with this receiving corps was just naive. All four of the potential starters have extensive injury histories, and failing to plan for that contingency was silly.

The Buccaneers shot themselves in the foot by keeping Scotty Miller. It seems like the drops followed him from the preseason to the regular season.

In addition, the Bucs couldn’t move the chains on third down-usually playing from well behind the sticks due to some downright terrible play-calling from Byron Leftwich.

And, for what it’s worth, the Buccaneers even struggled in their first game against the Cowboy defense, and Tampa even had most of their starting receivers in that game.

The offense is broken. Teams can make excuses or they can fix the problems. The Bucs have paths to fixing their issues, and that path doesn’t start with simply sitting on their hands and waiting for injuries to slow down.
