The Buccaneers choosing to let Cyril Grayson walk already felt like a strange move in the first place. They can rectify that problem now with a phone call.

The Buccaneers have a wide receiver problem. Injuries are piling up at an unsustainable rate. The Bucs lost their most recent game against the Packers in part due to a lack of success from one of the most important positions on the field, and it doesn’t look like the injury luck is going to turn around anytime soon.

Julio Jones and Chris Godwin are likely going to be on the injury report for the rest of the season. Mike Evans also doesn’t have a stellar history of staying healthy for the whole season.

This room is one of the best in the league by a huge margin when healthy, but that ‘when’ is pretty big.

Given all that we have seen from the injury front and what the backups have been able to do, it is safe to say the Bucs need to make some changes if they want to make their offense as successful as possible down the stretch.

That could bring the team back to a familiar face in Cyril Grayson.

Grayson isn’t exactly a major step up with injuries, but it is fair to say that he would be an improvement over the current guys getting the majority of reps at receiver. The current free agent was far better than Scotty Miller, Breshad Perriman, and Jaelon Darden last season, and it stands to reason that he would improve the quality of the room immediately.

There isn’t really a perfect answer out there at the moment, but a guy that had so much production on so few touches last season should be in the conversation for now.

light. Trending. Buccaneers need to consider tough cut to save offense
