If Tom Brady is truly about to go through a divorce, perhaps his time with the Buccaneers is not as limited as we once thought.
Look, no one on the planet wants to see what Tom Brady is about to go through. Divorces are tough on whole families, and the following months could be very messy for a lot more people than just Brady and Gisele if the divorce does happen.
The Buccaneers won’t escape this either. Personal lives do have an impact on jobs, even for people like Tom Brady that appear robotic at times, and Brady’s teammates need to find a way to step in and be there for their quarterback when able to do so.
While no one really wants to look that far ahead, this news could actually have an impact on Tampa’s future.
It is no surprise to anyone that Gisele wanted Brady to retire. She has been saying it for years. She gave up a career and expected to get the same grace back from Brady down the road to make sure that both can achieve their dreams.
As successful as Brady is, his wife is far more recognizable and marketable, and she gave up far more to ensure the family could function.
With Gisele out of the picture as his wife, Brady might not be as done with football as we once thought.
One year might have been the decision that he made with her, but more years could be on the table now. Could Brady be the starting quarterback of the future in Tampa? It might not be out of the question with how he has been playing and his decreasing commitments as a husband.
A heathy quarterback with fewer familial requirements makes a case to stay in the league while he is still playing at a high level. Maybe Brady is not retiring as soon as we all thought, we just wish the circumstances were different.
