A lot of people are finally coming around to the tough realization on the Buccaneers in 2022. Maybe this team is struggling for clear reasons.

The Buccaneers are not having the season that any of us expected when this schedule came out. Despite making it through the first four games in a way that many were willing to accept when they saw the quality of teams, the subsequent games have left plenty to be desired.

The Buccaneers are not a Super Bowl team as of right now. In fact, based on what we have seen, it is almost hard to say that the Bucs are a playoff-quality team, but they should still sneak in through a terrible division.

Most people have probably started to hear concerns from Bucs fans. Others are good with staying the course no matter what. We applaud the blind devotion, although we don’t agree with it.

Regardless, fans are fickle and follow highs and lows. Analysts do not. That is part of what makes this quote from NFL analyst Bucky Brooks all the more difficult to stomach.

Brooks does not see the Bucs as a good team right now, and it is hard to argue with him when looking at the whole scope of the situation.

Tampa has struggled in almost every aspect through the first few games. Yes, the bad teams ended up helping out with wins, but even a bad team like Pittsburgh was too much for Tampa to overcome with questionable coaching and poor execution.

As it stands, it feels hard to see anything changing with this team, much like Brooks said. This team just feels okay with being bad, and the coaching staff has done little to show that a much-needed change is coming.

Hopefully we are all wrong.
