Greetings, Bucs Nation. Entering Week 7, the Buccaneers are sitting at .500 with a record of 3-3. This weekend, the Bucs travel to Carolina to take on a division rival. Throw the records out for division games. The Bucs will have to play their best Bucs brand of football to get our record to 4-3.

The Bucs are averaging 343 total yards of offense a game while yielding 325 yards a game. Tampa Bay is averaging 20 points per game while yielding 17 points to opponents.

This is a new team. I trust the coaches, and players to come together and right the “ship”. Injuries are taking a major toll. Every team deals with injuries, but it seems like the Bucs’ secondary just can’t stay healthy for a consistent amount of time. Aside from injuries, the offense is still coming together and building chemistry. That takes time, especially with the way preseason and the 17-game season work. I hope the Bucs will stick with the 55% pass and 45% run philosophy. A running back by the committee is necessary for this to work. At least, a thunder and lightning approach with two running backs to take some workload off Lombardi Lenny. The chemistry between Brady and the new wide receivers will come as the season progresses.

A stat that stood out to me was the Buccaneers defense yielding an average of 109 rushing yards to opposing offenses. On defense, the Bucs are led by one of the greatest defensive coaches in the NFL, head coach Todd Bowles.

Injuries are playing a part and I hope the injured Bucs and NFL players have a speedy 100 percent recovery. The Bucs’ defense is also building chemistry as many new players are playing key roles in the Coach Bowles scheme. Like the offense, it takes time for a defense to build communication, chemistry, and execution throughout the season. Giving up fewer rushing yards, passing yards, and points to the opponent should happen later in the season as the team builds chemistry.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers take on the Carolina Panthers at 1 PM EST on FOX, Sunday 10/23/2022. Enjoy the game and go Bucs!
