Buccaneers need Tom Brady in the driver’s seat

This does not feel like a Tom Brady-led team. The GOAT might be the starting quarterback for the Buccaneers, but it is painfully obvious that Todd Bowles is the one making all the decisions.

All of that needs to change quickly.

Bowles’ ideas for offensive success are based out of the 1900s. Bowles has also never been the head coach of a team with a successful offense, and that is saying a lot when looking at the talent on this roster.

The offseason was filled with Bowles saying how much he wanted to get back to a run game that dominated time of possession, but that was a terrible idea from the jump.

In an offensive league, the Bucs need a true leader for their offense. Byron Leftwich obviously isn’t that guy, but Tom Brady does have the experience and the track record to show that he knows what he wants.

It is telling that Brady was a fringe MVP last year. This year has been a different story due to the team holding him back.

If the Buccaneers want to go back to winning, Tom Brady needs to become the focal point of the offense again and help the team shift back to its offensive roots that made it great.

Trending. Buccaneers have obvious move to make with coaching struggles. light
