The Buccaneers need a win in the worst way. The bad news is that they are going to be major underdogs when playing the Ravens on Thursday Night Football.

Thursday Night Football games have generally been very bad this season. Unfortunately, that shows little sign of changing when the Buccaneers play the Ravens this week.

The Ravens have been a much better team than their record suggests. The Buccaneers are the exact opposite.

The Ravens could easily be well above 4-3, and the Bucs being at 3-4 based on what we have seen the past few weeks is a blessing.

Given all that we have seen so far, Thursday Night should be a bloodbath for Tampa.

No one ever wants to predict a loss, but this feels like it will be impossible to see going any other way.

This game marks a major shift for the Bucs of the past few years; two teams that are largely dead at this point. Tampa is going into a game where it feels like it should lose. What has the team done this season to make anyone think that it can hang with Lamar Jackson and the Ravens?

The Buccaneers have been gouged by every run game they have faced this season. Not only can the Ravens do this as well as any team in the league, but they will also be able to pass at will with Tampa’s struggling secondary.

When you add in to all of this that the Bucs can’t score on offense and the Ravens have a quality defense, you see just how bleak these odds are.

A loss this Thursday will put Tampa in a legitimate position to lose the playoff spot afforded by the division. The Todd Bowles show isn’t over yet, but one has to wonder if the curtains are being prepped.
