Current Buccaneers draft position a major slap in the face
By Rob Leeds
The Buccaneers, a team that has been going all in for years and has Tom Brady at quarterback, is set to have one of the first picks in the 2023 NFL Draft.
It is absolutely time to start worrying about the Buccaneers. If you haven’t started yet, we wonder which team you have been watching in pewter and red for the past few weeks.
Alarm bells should be going off at One Buc every single day. This team, one that has been going all-in for years and has Tom Brady at quarterback, looks like a team that is tanking. That isn’t good news for a team that is doing everything to the contrary to win.
Just look at Tampa’s current draft position to see how bad the situation is:
The Buccaneers are currently slated to have the eighth-overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft. This is almost unfathomable.
How a team this talented could fall so far is beyond every Tampa fan in the world. The Bucs are actively trying and don’t even look better than the Panthers-the team currently in possession of the third-overall pick.
With a difficult schedule coming up and no end in sight to the current issues plaguing the franchise, the Bucs are a legitimate threat of having a top-ten pick in the upcoming draft.
Again, unfathomable.
It is absolutely time to start worrying about the Buccaneers. This should never happen, even with all of the injuries and having a new head coach.
Todd Bowles, his staff, and the front office should be embarrassed by the product on the field.
The only silver lining through all of this is that the Bucs are getting a better set of options by the day for a way to rebuild their franchise for the future with a quality pick that could go to a new quarterback.
