The Buccaneers saw everything they needed to from Rachaad White on Sunday against the Seahawks. Now, the team needs to cement the right move.
Whether it was sheer luck or proper coaching, the Buccaneers were able to get their run game back on track against the Seattle Seahawks in a big win to turn the season around.
The Bucs looked better in nearly every facet of their game (not that the run set this up), but it was nice to finally see a quality starting back on the field for the first time since Week 1.
The only difference between these two games is that Rachaad White was the starter for Tampa against the Seahawks.
This was a change that many saw coming from a mile away for a few weeks now. White is the better, more athletic back with better vision, and it made sense to make a change to solve the issues plaguing the abysmal run game.
At this point, every Bucs fan on the planet agrees that Rachaad White deserves more reps going forward to avoid fixing something that isn’t broken, and the good news is that Greg Auman, someone more in touch with the Buccaneers than anyone else, predicts the team to make the right decision on the depth chart going forward.
This is great news for a team that can’t afford to make any changes to an offense that was at least trending in the right direction a few days ago. There is still a ton of work that needs to go into getting this team back to where it was a year ago, but this would be an excellent first step.
Rachaad White is a star in the making, the Buccaneers just need to keep letting him find a groove and the rest will take care of itself.
