The Tampa Bay Buccaneers hit the road following the bye week to take on the Cleveland Browns. Here is how the game will go for the Buccaneers.
The NFL year really does feel like an eternity. During the entire Deshaun Watson snafu this offseason, it was looking increasingly likely that he would wind up with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (to the delight of some Buccaneers fans, you know who you are) or at the very least for some team in the NFC South.
Fast forward to Thanksgiving weekend, and the Bucs find themselves missing out on the debut of Watson with the Cleveland Browns by one week. That being the case, the Buccaneers will be facing the Jacoby Brissett-led Browns this week, a player whose future is one to monitor depending on what happens with Tom Brady.
Before we continue, here is your official spoiler alert for how the Buccaneers’ game will go against the Browns. Read on if you dare, you have been warned.
It’s no secret that the Browns aren’t exactly “stout” against the run. It’s an even worse kept secret that the Bucs will do whatever is necessary to establish the run, no matter the cost. Rookie Rachaad White will take center stage, and build off his impressive debut against the Seattle Seahawks in Munich, Germany.
This is also the time of year when Brady kicks it into another gear, and the team follows suit, much as they did in 2020. The Bucs are ready for the long haul, whereas the Browns are looking ahead to the debut of Watson.
As such, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will win this game by a score of 27-14, and continue sailing along to smoother waters. It will be a game that appears to fly by due to the suddenly established run game. There is your official spoiler. Do with this information what you will quantum leapers.
