Why Buccaneers fans should still be (cautiously) optimistic

Many are already writing off the season for the 2022 Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Here’s why there is still a glimmer of hope for this Buccaneers team.

It’s honestly pretty crazy how we got to this point with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. What Tom Brady at the helm, they were still considered Super Bowl favorites, but now the Buccaneers find themselves at 5-6. Suffice to say, it’s a far cry from where we thought we’d be.

That is ok though, because, despite all of that, there is still a reason for optimism. Is it a toxic relationship at this point? Perhaps. That said we will still get right into it.

Honestly, there really isn’t that much to dive into so we’ll be blunt this time. The NFC South absolutely stinks on ice. It may be the worst division of all time, but at the very least certainly the worst in the NFL right now. Even with their record, the Buccaneers are sitting ugly in first place.

With that being the case, the Bucs would be a hosting a playoff game, as crazy as that may seem. With Brady at quarterback, all bets would be off at that point. No matter how bleak things look, when you have a GOAT under center (or behind shotgun), anything is possible.

You couple that with the fact that the running game appears rejuvenated with Rachaad White, and who knows what could happen in this crazy NFL season? Granted, the offensive line also has to step up, but that’s a giant can of worms best opened at another time.

The point is, it’s always darkest before the dawn, and that may just be the case for the 2022 Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Just get into the playoffs and go from there. Of course, did you have to win some time to get there first, but we can still have a shred of optimism can’t we?
