As nice as it was to see Ryan Jensen back on the practice field with the Buccaneers today, the news isn’t anything that fans need to lose their minds over.

This season has been an especially difficult prospect for the Buccaneers for a multitude of reasons, but one of the most impactful on the offensive side of the ball has been the injury to center Ryan Jensen.

Jensen was hurt back before the start of the season and the line never looked the same after. At that point, the franchise handled the injury in a strange way with little details regarding the injury itself, and that situation has become all the more confusing with the recent turn of events with Jensen coming back.

There is currently an outside chance that Ryan Jensen suits up again for the Buccaneers this season after he was back at practice today with twenty more to get himself back on a field during a game.

As cool as something like this is, a move like this will always be a long shot. With no information to go on, everything is conjecture at this point, but some of the likely injuries that would put him in his current position could get re-aggravated over the coming weeks before the veteran has a way back onto the field.

This was always going to be a long shot. With two games left in the regular season and low chances of a deep playoff run, the Bucs had nothing to lose with taking a shot like this.

If Jensen can play, great. If he can’t, no harm is done as long as they go through the re-acclamation process in the right and safe way; it isn’t like the Bucs were just a center away from competing either way.

As cool as something like this might be, there is a good chance that the Buccaneers make this a non-story with how poorly they have played in recent weeks.

Hopefully Jensen is able to get back to feeling like himself one way or another.
