If the Buccaneers want to beat the Cowboys again, stopping Dak Prescott will always be the top priority to ensure the good guys get the right end result.
The most important player on any opposing football team will always be the quarterback. Good or bad, no position impacts the game more. Buccaneers fans have seen this on more occasion than one.
Much like the first game of the season, the Buccaneers need to go into their matchup against the Cowboys with one player in mind to stop above all else; Dak Prescott.
This is the third time in two years that we have made the same claim. People laugh the idea off every time. Every time the article ends up being right.
People laugh Dak off from time to time because prominent media members like to pile on against the Cowboys, but no one on the planet that says Dak isn’t good is right.
Dak maybe not be the best player on the Cowboys with some all-time great talent at several other positions, but the Bucs have already shown that they can overcome the other guys.
Parsons, the Cowboys run game, and their offensive line have all played well at varying stages against the Bucs. None move the needle more in either direction than Dak.
In the last two matchups between these teams, the Bucs have won by varying levels due to what they took from Dak. The closer of these affairs was tied to one of the best games of Dak’s career. The game that went well in Tampa’s favor was one of the worst games of Prescott’s career.
There is no way to argue anything else. It is an offensive league, and the pass is king (yes, even in the playoffs).
If the Buccaneers want to win the game on this upcoming Monday night, they’ll need to make sure that Dak Prescott has another one of the worst games of his career.
