What time does Round 2 of the NFL Draft start? Here’s everything you need to know to catch all of the action on Friday night.

While the results of the first round are still settling in for fans, the NFL Draft isn’t wasting any time in getting back underway with more action. It’s a marathon weekend, not one in which we sprint through picks, and there are two more rounds of the draft on the docket for Friday night.

Here’s a list of some players the Buccaneers should target once the action on Day 2 gets started.

With a pair of picks to play with on Friday night, the Bucs could go in a number of different directions.

Drafting Calijah Kancey doesn’t exclude the team from taking more defensive help, in fact, that might be one of the best options on the table. Kancey helps add depth and strength up front, but there are still holes in the secondary that need to be addressed and some top talent remaining that could be perfect spackling.

Losing Mike Edwards, Sean Murphy-Bunting, and Keanu Neal this offseason hurt the Bucs defensive backs room which could motivate the team to look in that direction on Friday night. Guys like Brian Branch and Joey Porter Jr. slipped out of the first round but might not last long into the second night. If the Bucs don’t trade up to get one of those guys, other defensive backs like Cam Smith, Jordan Battle, and Tyrique Stevenson might fall to them at No. 50.

There’s also the offensive side of the ball to consider as well. Despite the persistent chatter leading up to the draft, the Bucs didn’t land one of the top tackles and remain in search of finding some help alongside Tristan Wirfs.

Dawand Jones is arguably the last of the potential first-round tackles still available, with interior offensive linemen like John Michael Schmitz potential targets as well.

Let’s not count out the Bucs dipping into the skill position pool either, with some intriguing wide receiver options still on the board as well as Michael Mayer — a guy some projected to the Bucs at No. 19 that they can now get at a potential discount.

NFL Draft time today: What time does Round 2 of the NFL Draft start?

Keep in mind that while the festivities get back underway tonight, things will kick off at a different time. That always throws folks off after tuning in for a sharp primetime start to the first round.

Day 2 of the NFL Draft actually begins an hour earlier, which makes sense since we have two rounds to get through rather than just the top picks.

Here’s when you can catch the second and third rounds of the NFL Draft tonight:

  • Date: Friday, April 28, 2023
  • Start Time: 7pm ET
  • TV Channel: ABC | ESPN | NFL Network
  • Live Stream: Fubo | ESPN+ | Hulu

ESPN started putting NFL Draft coverage on ABC recently, leveraging the fact that both brands are under the Disney umbrella. Mickey Mouse has determined that coverage will continue in a simulcast format, with ABC televising coverage tonight as well.

As always, NFL Network will have its own crew broadcasting the action so you can choose your own NFL Draft adventure in terms of where you watch.
