Entering Week 11, the Bucs have their hands full against the Bills. This week is a battle of two 6-3 teams who have nine combined division titles since 2020. The Bills are coming off an embarrassing loss to the 3-7 Dolphins, and are looking to bounce back.
If the Bucs want to prove themselves, a win in Week 11 does it. Here are three tough challenges awaiting Tampa Bay in Buffalo this Sunday:
QB Josh Allen
The two-way superstar is coming off an interesting, yet MVP-earning season. The 29-year-old threw for just 3731 yards, his lowest amount in five years, but only threw six interceptions.
This season has been up and down, but he's played well. His 70% completion percentage is well above career average, and he's totaled 22 touchdowns. After an embarrassing performance and loss to the Falcons on Monday Night Football, he bounced back and dominated the Panthers.
Last week, the Bills were humiliated by the Dolphins, Allen is likely to bounce back in style. If the Bucs keep his rushing abilities at bay, there's hope to keep Allen controlled. He's clearly the biggest x-factor the Bucs will meet on Sunday.
DE Joey Bosa
Defensive End Joey Bosa has been injury riddled since 2021, causing severe statistical setbacks since then. This year, the fully healthy Bosa brother is reeking havoc, and leading the league in forced fumbles.
Bosa boasts four sacks, 12 Quarterback hits and seven tackles for loss through nine games this season. The veteran defensive end built a name for himself early in his career, and still plays to that standard 10-years into his career.
Bosa is listed as a limited participant in practice on Wednesday, but played through the same wrist injury last week. Bucs fans must keep a lookout for his availability, but he'll likely play through the pain.
RB James Cook
The Bills' lead back, James Cook, has enjoyed the most productive season of his career so far. Through nine games, the University of Georgia product has 920 yards rushing, seven touchdowns, with another three through the air.
After TreVeyon Henderson's dominant performance last week, the Bucs head coach and defensive coordinator, Todd Bowles, has some work to do. Cook has rushed for over 105 yards five times this season, including 216 against the Panthers.
Tampa Bay must keep Cook in check to have a chance to stop this elite offense.
