Mike Evans has spent his entire twelve year career in Tampa Bay. The Buccaneers drafted him 7th overall back in 2014, and he's posted more than 13,000 yards since. The six time pro-bowler posted more than 100 touchdowns and helped Tom Brady to bring the Lombardi Trophy to Tampa Bay. Needless to say, Mike Evans has built himself one hell of a reputation.

Evans will be 33 when the next season begins. The NFL is a young man's game now more than ever, but that doesn't mean the fight has gone from Evans. Recent reports suggest that Evans is likely to move on from his home of more than ten years, searching for greener pastures. Several teams could fit the template for Evans and his camp, and it's worth looking into a few of them.

Which teams that could realistically steal Mike Evans away from Buccaneers?

San Francisco 49ers

The 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan is a generational offensive mind, and he's built an impressive résumé in San Francisco. Quarterback Brock Purdy has been consistent and they're in a win-now attitude. Evans can provide depth at the receiver position, especially when their current WR1 is set to hit free agency.

Jacksonville Jaguars

This one would sting even more with the Liam Coen connection, which is also what makes it feel even. more possible.

The Jaguars are currently projected to be resting over the cap, but most teams have at least some cap gymnastics to perform. With Jacksonville trading for Jakobi Meyers at the deadline last season, Evans would be entering a room with an already contested WR1 spot, but remaining in Florida would be appealing to the receiver.

Given the Jag's performance in 2025, Evans would be wise to at least consider it.

Baltimore Ravens

Lamar Jackson has been the consistent QB in Baltimore for almost a decade now, and his performance has shown no signs of wavering. Baltimore had a tough go of it last season, but with the departure of head coach John Harbaugh, the Ravens' talented roster is set to take a new form in 2026.

Evans would join names such as Zay Flowers and Rashod Bateman to bolster an already powerful receiver room.

Buffalo Bills

Josh Allen has been a superhero for the Buffalo Bills in the last few years, and he's been consistent the whole time. After years of disappointment in the playoffs, the Bills saw fit to dismiss their head coach. As a result, much like the Ravens, the Bills are expected to show a new identity in 2026. Evans would bring stability and a reliable set of hands for the already talented offense.
