There was a moment at the end of Sunday's game where it really looked like the Tampa Bay Buccaneers were about to pull off an upset win over the San Francisco 49ers. Not only would it have been a stunner, it would have sent the Bucs into their bye week on a high note and with some serious momentum to ride into the final half of the season.

Instead the team melted down in the clutch and failed to close out. It's something Todd Bowles addressed after the game, but is a growing problem for a team that might finally be unable to get out of its own way.

Baker Mayfield deserves to wear some blame for how things turned out, but he cleansed himself of much of that on the penultimate drive of the game. On Tampa Bay's final offensive drive, he pulled off a highlight reel play that would have ripped a hole in the space-time continuum if Patrick Mahomes had pulled it off.

We all saw the play live on the broadcast but every knew angle that gets shared makes the whole thing even better.

Alternate angle of Baker Mayfield's stiff arm throw on Nick Bosa is simply awesome

NFL on FOX cameras caught the play from multiple angles, with the forward shot of it showing just how strong Baker needed to be in order to hold Bosa at arm's length. We've seen how hard it is to stop Bosa when he storms the backfield, but to not only outrun him but keep him off while unloading a pass is another example of how incredible Baker is.

Let's not overlook the fact that this was so embarrassing for Bosa that the official NFL account posted the highlight and didn't even name him. That's how awesome this was, how much Baker stole the moment, and how incredible he balled out on this play.

Baker has been playing like this all season, and this one play is simply a microcosm of how important he's been to the team's identity. He's been on an MVP level for most of the year and is a major reason why the Bucs have marched back into games they've otherwise been out of.

There's a no-quit spirit to this team, even though they can't get over the hump and win, and Baker doing things like this is that attitude personified.
