The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have four players with at least a $20 million cap hit for 2025. Let's look at the five highest on the roster. The team won 10 games in 2024 and danced their way to a division title and a playoff appearance yet again.

However, they lost in the Wild Card Round to the Washington Commanders and seem to be stuck in this 'good not great' tier. It'll be interesting to see if they can dig themselves out of this awkward position they are in and actually turn into a legitimate contender.

Well, teams aren't contenders without great players, and the Bucs have a few of them. In fact, some of them have the highest cap hits on the roster. Let's see which players have the highest approaching the 2025 NFL Season.

All cap figures come from Over The Cap.

5 biggest cap hits on the Buccaneers roster in the 2025 NFL Season

5. Jamel Dean - $15,136,941

Jamel Dean has actually never played more than 15 games in a season and turns 29 years old in October. He suited up for just 12 games in 2024 and is a good, not great player. Dean has eight career interceptions and has a cap hit of just over $15 million in 2025.

4. Vita Vea - $22,465,064

Already 30 years old, Vita Vea did have the best year of his career in 2024, racking up seven sacks, 10 tackles for loss, and 13 QB hits. One of the heaviest players in the NFL, Vea has been a force on the Buccaneers defensive line for years now and has a cap hit of just about $22.5 million for the 2025 season.

3. Antoine Winfield Jr - $25,000,000

Antoine Winfield Jr played in just nine games in 2024, so the Tampa Bay defense is going to love getting him back into the lineup. He's one of the best overall safeties in the NFL and has a $25 million cap hit for the 2025 NFL Season. Winfield is entering his age-27 season this coming year.

2. Mike Evans - $26,024,668

Future Hall of Famer Mike Evans is now entering his 12th season in the NFL, all with the Buccaneers. He's got 11-straight years of 1,000 yards and is among the greatest players to ever put on a Bucs uniform. Tampa Bay will absolutely have to prepare for life after Evans in the near future, but he's still producing at a decent level and is definitely still a threat at wide receiver.

1. Baker Mayfield - $38,275,000

Baker Mayfield signed a three-year extension with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last offseason, and his cap hit for 2025 is pushing $40 million. In 2024, Mayfield had the best year of his career, throwing for 4,500 yards and 41 touchdown passes. He did lose Liam Coen to the Jacksonville Jaguars head coaching job, so we'll see if he can have the same success in 2025 that he did in 2024.
