Buccaneers catch a break as Vikings WR Justin Jefferson exits game with injury

As the Tampa Bay Buccaneers face the Minnesota Vikings, Justin Jefferson went down with an ankle injury early in the first quarter.

Jefferson caught a 22-yard pass on the first play of the game, and another 10-yard pass later on the opening drive before going down. 

Jefferson was seen with his helmet on lobbying to re-enter the game, but later went to the locker room for further examination. His return remains questionable.

The halftime break came and went, and there’s been no further update on Jefferson’s status. Tampa Bay will receive the second half kickoff, so we’ll have a further update when Minnesota takes over on offense.

Update: Jefferson's status hasn't changed and he remains questionable, but he's not on the field or on the sideline to open up the second half.

Update: According to Adam Schefter, the Vikings have ruled Jefferson OUT for the remainder of the game.
