The Tampa Bay Buccaneers called on franchise legend Ronde Barber to announce their second-round draft pick, Missouri linebacker Josiah Trotter.
Trotter is the son of former All-Pro linebacker Jeremiah Trotter Sr., who played eight seasons for the Philadelphia Eagles across three different stints. He also played a season for the Buccaneers in 2007.
With this knowledge in mind, Barber had to take a fun shot at the Eagles fans in attendance at the 2026 NFL Draft as the Buccaneers drafted the son of a Philadelphia legend.
Ronde Barber welcomed Josiah Trotter to the Buccaneers in the most perfect way
"With the 46th pick of the 2026 NFL Draft, and I am very very happy to say this, because I might make some Philadelphia fans a little bit upset, the Buccaneers select Josiah Trotter, linebacker, Missouri," said Barber.

Barber is the ultimate villain among Eagles fans. He made the biggest play of the 2002 NFC Championship Game, intercepting quarterback Donovan McNabb and returning it for a touchdown to put the nail in the coffin, closing down Veteran's Stadium for good and sending his Bucs to their first Super Bowl.
The context and catharsis of the Ronde Barber pick six off McNabb in the ‘02 NFC Championship Game is — without hyperbole — as great as the two Super Bowl wins. pic.twitter.com/kUGFWmlCrL

It's one of the most iconic moments in Buccaneers franchise history, and one of the most heartbreaking moments in Eagles history.
Now, over 20 years since the famous pick-six and over a decade since his NFL retirement, Barber is still doing whatever he can to terrorize Eagles fans.
There is no love lost between the Hall of Fame defensive back and the city of Philadelphia, originating from the Bucs-Eagles rivalry of the early 2000s. Now, Eagles fans will have to watch as the son of one of their franchise legends suits up for the Buccaneers, and Barber couldn't have given him a more fitting welcome to Tampa Bay.
