Despite not having the most cap space in the world, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers had a productive spring of compiling veteran players. Kenny Gainwell can be an X-Factor on offense as a top pass catcher out of the backfield, whlie the front seven got beefed up with quality starters like A'Shawn Robinson and Alex Anzalone.

The Buccaneers have a little more than $8 million left to make last minute signings before training camp this summer. Here are five remaining free agents who could pique the Bucs interest as upgrades in key areas.

5 best free agency fits for Buccaneers

OLB Jadeveon Clowney

Although Jadeveon Clowney didn't become the Hall of Fame freakazoid people thought he would be at South Carolina, the former Houston Texans edge defender has become one of the best mercenary pass rushers in the NFL, and he has always been an elite run defender. Although the Bucs landed top rookie Rueben Bain Jr. to add to YaYa Diaby, they could use a veteran presence like Clowney, whose nasty edge against the run is clearly what the Bucs organization is looking for this year.

DE Cameron Jordan

There probably isn't a snowball's chance in heck that New Orleans Saints legend Cameron Jordan switches sides and joins the team that he tormented for years, but imagine if the Buccaneers pulled off a coup so Jordan could get a little revenge. One of the best players of his genereation, Jordan has a motor that does not quit and excellent two way ability with the versatility to play basically any position up front. He's still got it.

OLB Von Miller

Although Von Miller may not have as much in the tank as the other two, a washed Von Miller is still better than the majority of pass rushers in the NFL, including YaYa Diaby. Miller's price tag has probably come down quite a bit at this stage in the market, and while the future Hall of Famer clearly wants to go back to the Denver Broncos, perhaps the Buccaneers could entice him with a key role.

OLB Kyle Van Noy

Kyle Van Noy is another one of the most underrated defensive players of his time period and has been a success no matter which role he plays or which team he plays for. A potential bargain bin at this stage of free agency, Van Noy helps the Buccaneers in a lot of ways. He can get after the passer, play any position, read the game tremendously, be a leader for this defense, and even cover. The Bucs should think hard about him.

ILB Bobby Wagner

It would only be fitting for a retired Lavonte David to be replaced by one of the other three elite inside linebackers from his year's draft class. Bobby Wagner showed he has even more left in the tank than David by being one of the best inside linebackers in the league last season for the Washington Commanders, and he would immediately be the Bucs best linebacker, by far, if signed.
