Falcons predicted to make wild draft move that could haunt Buccaneers for years

The best news about this blog is that it's totally made up. Nothing you'll read here is actually all that close to happening, or even that realistic. Especially as we try and scrape every last piece of content out of the bottom of the draft barrel, there's something soothing about the fact that truly none of this means anything.

That's especially good news for Bucs fans because, reader, I'm afraid that Bleacher Report is at it again. The folks over at B/R cooked up a big ol' list of draft predictions, and they get exactly as wild as you'd expect them to. 'Bold predictions' is about the most overused phrase in the history of digital computing, but some of these really do reach that threshold.

One prediction (i.e. totally random guess) is especially problematic for the Bucs, and it'd make Baker Mayfield's life pretty miserable for the foreseeable future.

Falcons listed as a team that could trade for Abdul Carter, which is a nightmare

Biggest Draft-Day Trade: Atlanta Falcons trade up for Penn State EDGE Abdul Carter

"I don't expect any of the top three selections to be traded, and I won't be shocked if no teams are willing to trade out of the top 10. There seems to be a lack of consensus about who the "top" prospects are after players like Travis Hunter, Carter and Mason Graham, and I think many teams will be willing to stay put and secure "their guy" early in Round 1. 'I don't think there's a difference between Player 10 and Player 40 in this draft,' one executive told NFL Network's Tom Pelissero."

It's kind of funny that B/R spends the entire portion of their 'biggest draft-day trade' section talking about how no one's going to actually get traded, only to casually drop a prediction that, actually, the Falcons are going to trade up into the top 3. But otherwise!

To be clear: this would be a nightmare. It'd be such a nightmare that it's not even worth thinking about in any sort of analytical sense. For everyone's sanity, we just need to consistently remind ourselves that this is just one person's random guess. It definitely won't happen. It definitely won't happen. It definitely won't happen.
