The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have enjoyed a remarkable string of success in recent seasons, and 2025 should be no exception for the Buccaneers.
Everything has seemed to break their way in ways we haven't seen before. The Bucs we're used to seeing would have signed Baker Mayfield only to have him flop, Mike Evans would have left in free agency, and the team would have sunk back into the abyss of irrelevancy in the post-Tom Brady era.
Instead, Tampa Bay is going for its fifth-straight NFC South title and to punch a postseason ticket for the sixth consecutive year.
It won't be easy, but these are five games that shouldn't give the Bucs many issues as they attempt to keep the good vibes flowing. .
Week 3: Buccaneers vs Jets
The Jets come to Tampa for the Buccaneers' home opener in 2025. This should be an easy win for Tampa Bay, who have a superior offense, quarterback and coaching staff. The Jets have a nice defense, but that's about all New York has to boast about. Look for Justin Fields to struggle and the Buccaneers to pick up a win at home.
Week 10: Buccaneers vs Patriots
The Patriots might be an improved team in 2025, but it's hard to believe a team coming off a three-win season can take down Tampa Bay. Baker Mayfield will put up strong numbers against a young New England team, and Tampa Bay should have no problems here.
Week 13: Buccaneers vs Cardinals
Tampa Bay hosts the Cardinals in Week 13 in a game that could matter a lot. Tampa will be coming off games against Buffalo and Los Angeles, which could be back-to-back losses. Hosting Arizona will offer the Buccaneers a chance to get back on track, and they'll do it, winning easily against a weak Cardinals roster.
Week 14: Buccaneers vs Saints
Another game that feels more than winnable for Tampa Bay. The Saints have question marks up and down the roster, including at the most important position. We are a week away from the opening kickoff and still have no idea who the Saints' starting quarterback is going to be. Spencer Rattler and Tyler Shough should not scare Tampa Bay, and this is a winnable game.
Week 18: Buccaneers vs Panthers
The Buccaneers might have already secured a division title by Week 18, but if they have not, they will be able to lock down a playoff spot with a Week 18 win over the Panthers. Carolina is a young team with a young, inexperienced head coach. Their time might be coming eventually, but it's not in 2025. Tampa Bay will have its way with the Panthers and clinch their sixth straight playoff appearance with a Week 18 win, if it needs it.
