The Tampa Bay Buccaneers signed outside linebacker Cam Gill as an undrafted free agent out of Wagner College back in 2020.

Gill carved out a special teams role and spent four seasons in Tampa Bay from 2020-2023, appearing in 40 games.

He even recorded a half-sack on Patrick Mahomes in the Bucs’ Super Bowl LV win over the Chiefs during his rookie season.

He bounced around the NFL in 2024 and 2025, failing to stick around in Detroit, Carolina, and Minnesota before moving on from the NFL. But Gill has since landed on his feet in the United Football League.

Cam Gill signed with the UFL’s Louisville Kings ahead of the 2026 season, and he’s already cemented himself as one of the league’s best players.

Gill recorded three multi-sack games this season on his way to leading the league and setting a new UFL single-season record with 10 sacks.

In addition to being the sack leader, Gill was named to the All-UFL Team and was named the UFL Defensive Player of the Year. He even received MVP consideration.

His massive defensive impact helped lead the Louisville Kings to a UFL championship in a 27-20 win over the reigning champion DC Defenders.

Gill was able to carve out a multi-year career in the NFL as an undrafted free agent, win a Super Bowl with Tampa Bay notching a sack of Patrick Mahomes, and has now become one of the biggest stars and a champion in the UFL.

It’s an incredible career trajectory for Gill, and the former Buccaneer could very well find himself getting another opportunity in the NFL this season thanks to his standout performance in the UFL.
