The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will have a new offensive coordinator once again in 2026. Josh Grizzard, their 2025 offensive coordinator, was one-and-done in Tampa and has found a new job for the 2026 NFL season.

According to Adam Schefter, Grizzard has been hired as the pass game coordinator by the Philadelphia Eagles. He'll be joining Sean Mannion, who was hired as the Eagles next offensive coordinator, to help try and revamp the Eagles offense after a down year in 2025.

Josh Grizzard hired as Eagles pass game coordinator for 2026 season

The Buccaneers have not been strangers to going through a new offensive coordinator every year but Grizzard didn't follow in the footsteps of the guys before him. Dave Canales and Liam Coen were both hired as head coaches after helping Baker Mayfield put together stellar seasons in Tampa.

Grizzard, however, was fired by the Bucs after an underwhelming offensive season for the Buccaneers. Yes, the entire team was banged up and it showed but Grizzard did not live up to the expectations placed on him when the Bucs promoted him into the offensive coordinator role. Now he'll have a chance to prove himself in Philadelphia.

What's working in Grizzard's favor here is that he's not serving in the OC role with his new team. That job went to Mannion, who had been the Packers quarterbacks coach this past year, and while he was a bit of a shocking hire for the Eagles, they clearly saw what they liked there. Eagles fans also appear to be excited about the hire of Grizzard due to the experience he has under his belt.

Bucs fans weren't upset that Grizzard was relieved of his duties and hope that new offensive coordinator Zac Robinson can do what Grizzard couldn't. If the Eagles offense continues to be a mess in 2026, however, Buccaneers fans will know exactly who to point the finger at.
