A lot of good things happened on Monday night for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but instead we've all spent the week stewing about hot the game ended. By now everyone knows what happened, and Todd Bowles decision to not attempt a two-point conversion and push the Chiefs to the bring of their first loss remains almost universally panned.

When Andy Reid and Travis Kelce express relief that the Bucs didn't go for two, that tells you all you need to know.

It's a decision that has been dissected over and over to the extent that it borders on dwelling for too long. The Bucs have another big game this Sunday against the 49ers, a home game on a short week, and the focus needs to shift.

Offensive coordinator Liam Coen had mostly stayed out of the conversation until Thursday, when he finally weighed in during his weekly press conference.

Liam Coen has cryptic answer about Bucs not trying a 2-point conversion vs. Chiefs

In what is probably the last we'll hear of the team talking about what happened on Monday night, Coen commented on whether he wanted to go for two and his answer will only fan flames that have been crackling all week.

“Honestly, we were prepared for every situation. You have calls ready. At the end of the day, it’s not what we did. We have to play the cards that we’re dealt. Just go play and move on," Coen said, via JoeBucsFan. "You go through it. All different types of situations can occur. We’re ready for a call. The situation played out as it did. We didn’t go for it."

From the moment it happened to right now, fans have been adamant that Bowles should have made the decision to attempt the two-point conversion. Tampa Bay had just come off a masterful touchdown drive and had the best team in football on the ropes, but backed off.

Adding to frustration is the fact that a growing section of the fanbase wants Bowles fired and replaced with Coen, making these quotes about what happened ripe to be read into.

Coen made sure to note twice that he was not dwelling but also tossed out a line about having to wait until next time to see if the team changes its mind in the same situation.

It's something everyone will be wondering.
