Baker Mayfield has written one of the NFL’s best comeback stories and become one of the league’s most beloved players since joining the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Now, his star is about to shine even brighter after being selected to appear on Netflix’s Quarterback series.
Baker Mayfield to appear on Netflix Quarterback series
In 2023, Netflix launched Quarterback, a documentary series designed to give fans an inside look at the lives of NFL quarterbacks both on and off the field.
The show follows players throughout an entire season, capturing moments in the locker room, on the sideline, and at home with their families. One of the series’ biggest strengths is how it humanizes some of the NFL’s biggest stars and shows what they go through behind the scenes.

Mayfield will be featured in Season 3 alongside Cam Ward, Jayden Daniels, and Joe Flacco.
Season 1 drew 12.7 million viewers, while Season 2 pulled in 5.6 million. With Mayfield now joining the cast, football fans will get a side of the Buccaneers quarterback they’ve never seen before.
Buccaneers fans will get behind-the-scenes look at chaotic 2025 season
Because the series was filmed during the 2025 season, viewers will get to follow all of the highs and lows of the Buccaneers’ roller coaster campaign.
Viewers will follow Tampa Bay’s hot 6-2 start, highlighted by Mayfield’s late-game heroics, before the team ultimately crashed and burned during the second half of the year, finishing with an 8-9 record.
Mayfield also battled injuries throughout the season, and the series could provide a closer look at how much those issues impacted him down the stretch.
The Buccaneers’ thrilling 38-35 win over the eventual Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks feels like a lock to make the show, as does Tampa Bay’s crushing 29-28 primetime loss to the Atlanta Falcons.
Buccaneers fans are in for a real treat, as the series should offer a rare behind-the-scenes look at Mayfield’s leadership, personality, and the emotional roller coaster of the 2025 season.
It also gives Tampa Bay a chance to step into the national spotlight as a new audience gets to see why Baker Mayfield has become one of the league’s most popular quarterbacks.
