The Tampa Bay Buccaneers can move to 4-0 this week but standing in their way is the Philadelphia Eagles, who are also trying to get to 4-0 on the year. A major advantage for the Bucs in this game is not only that they're the home team but the fact that the hot temperatures are going to make things miserable for the Eagles players.
According to Sal Paolantonio during one of his reports, the on-field temperature at Raymond James Stadium for the Bucs/Eagles game was 110 degrees. That is going to be brutal for everyone involved but at least for Bucs players, they're more accustomed to these extremely hot temperatures.
Weather for Bucs/Eagles is going to be brutally hot
Earlier this week, former Eagles center Jason Kelce spoke about how much he hated playing in the heat when he was in the league. As someone who spent the entirety of his career in Philly, he said he'd rather play in the cold and snow than in the brutally hot temperatures. If he feels that way, there's a solid chance that a majority of the Eagles players share that sentiment and that means they're going to be in for a rough afternoon in Tampa.
With 4-0 on the line for both teams, anything that tips the scale in Tampa's favor is a welcomed advantage. Yes, the Bucs also have to play in the warm weather but they live in Tampa so it's something they'll be a little more used to. That will not be the case for those on the other sideline.
Hopefully, the Bucs can use this to their advantage and the Eagles players will be suffering from the temps and unable to focus on doing anything productive. Tampa has mostly owned the Eagles in recent years and the hope is that they'll continue to do so on Sunday.
