1. Baker Mayfield, QB

The quarterback battle remains the number one storyline at Bucs training camp. Baker Mayfield and Kyle Trask are competing for the starting job.

It is unclear exactly how the Bucs will distribute the snaps at quarterback in the preseason, but head coach Todd Bowles confirmed that Mayfield will start against the Steelers. Trask will start next week's preseason contest against the New York Jets.

Mayfield has the first opportunity of the preseason, but the pressure is on. He has made far too many mistakes at training camp.

"Trask has managed to throw just four interceptions in camp, with three coming on Tuesday, whereas Mayfield has thrown nine, with turnovers being one of the biggest points of emphasis for the coaching staff," writes ESPN's Jenna Laine.

Mayfield's struggles with turnovers could cost him the job. It's crucial that he makes a fast start to the preseason.

It is an important preseason for both quarterbacks. The next three games aren't the only factor in the Bucs' decision but they will play a key part. Mayfield gets the first opportunity to start this week. He needs to make the most of it, or Trask could take a huge step toward winning the job.
