With NFL training camps opening this week, the dawn of a new season is almost upon us.

Ask the national media about the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, though, and they’ll tell you the season is already over. The Bucs have been counted out by just about everyone, something that started when Tom Brady retired back in February and it’s progressively gotten worse ever since.

Todd Bowles has been fired more times than we can count, the Bucs have been dubbed the second-worst team in the league, and everyone had the same joke about Baker Mayfield when he signed.

All of this has seemed to light a fire in the bell of Bucs players who are already sick of hearing about how they have no chance. The chip on Baker’s shoulder is representative of the entire team, and it could end up being something that defines the season.

Not everyone is down on the team, with former GM Rick Spielman saying the Bucs will surprise people and folks like Jeremy Fowler at ESPN are scratching their heads that the roster of talent is being slept on so hard.

There are more ways the season can go right than wrong, despite what you may have heard, but there are a few nightmare scenarios that could pulverize the team’s chances this season.
