3 things Bucs need to do now that Mike Evans is signed
Add another running back
There's no easy way to say this so I'll just come out with it: The Bucs were absolutely terrible when it came to running the ball last year. They finished last in the league in yards per rush attempt with 3.6 and just never got things figured out in that department.
Even with that being the case, Rachaad White still held his own. The former third-round pick rushed for just shy of 1,000 yards while scoring six rushing touchdowns on the ground. Adding a better complimentary back to the offense is something the Bucs have to do in 2023 if they want to win a fourth-straight NFC South title.
Running the ball effectively helps not only alleviate pressure off the passing game but it allows teams to control the clock. The Bucs weren't able to take advantage of that last year but hopefully, with a better interior offensive line and an additional running back, they can improve and have a more fearsome rushing attack in 2024.
