Round 7, Pick 244: Jordan Magee, LB/Temple

Day 3 picks are essentially lottery tickets, but Jason Licht has a knack for finding the right ones that end up paying off. Last year he cooked on the third day, drafting guys like SirVocea Dennis, Payne Durham, and Trey Palmer -- all of whom stepped up in various ways as rookies.

If there's a guy you want in charge of finding Day 3 studs, it's Licht, and Bucs fans are lucky he's on their side.

Jordan Magee feels like a classic Licht pick. His stock took a hit thanks to an injury he suffered last year that sort of took him off everyone's radar, but the tape on him is outstanding.

Magee is listed as a linebacker but he'd be yet another pass rusher to add to Todd Bowles' defense who could rotate in and help add even more heat off the edge alongside Calijah Kancey and others. He's also a Temple guy, which will speak to Bowles' heart and might give him an inside track to being a late-round pick the Bucs take a chance on.

He's comparable to Jose Ramirez, who the Bucs took late on Day 3 last year, and having those battling it out for roster supremacy could end up making everyone a little bit better.
