As the Tampa Bay Buccaneers attempt to piece together their roster ahead of the deadline later this month, there are a handful of spots still up for grabs.

Backup quarterback isn't high on the list, but it's certainly there. Kyle Trask is entering the final year of his rookie contract and has yet to truly shine in any role he's been given. John Wolford being a veteran presence with ties to Liam Coen and Baker Mayfield puts some extra pressure on him to succeed and earn his keep.

That's something he took a step in the right direction of doing on Saturday night.

The Bucs were up in Jacksonville taking on the Jaguars and Trask turned in a rare highlight reel throw that was made even better thanks to the radio call fans at home were listening to.

Leave it the the great Gene Deckerhoff to make an already incredible moment even better.

Trask scrambled out of some pressure and hit Cody Thompson on the run -- and in some coverage -- to get the Bucs on the board in the second quarter. Deckerhoff was on the call and worked some magic of his own up in the booth.

Credit where it's due: Trask had an incredible throw on the move. He's struggled to truly stand out over the last few seasons and it's almost felt like everyone's time has been wasted. Trask hasn't developed like a second round pick should, but he's also been sort of pushed to the side at every chance.

He sat behind Tom Brady and was then pushed back down the priority list by Baker Mayfield. Now Wolford might be on his heels to take over the QB2 role, something that isn't certain but isn't off the table either.

The most likely outcome is that Trask gets the backup role and Wolford continues to be the emergency inactive quarterback on Sundays. Wolford was sought after on the Bucs practice squad, though, something that forced Tampa Bay to sign him to the active roster which is a variable to consider.
