In Danger: Logan Hall

This one is a little more salaciously framed than it might in reality, but Logan Hall played like a guy who should be cut on Saturday night.

If you’re asking yourself ‘wait, did Logan Hall even play against the Jets’, then the point has already been made. Hall is facing a make-or-break season as the Bucs attempt to figure out what its defensive core will be moving forward. He was taken in the first round two years ago and while he still has some runway to figure things out the amount of time to do so is not infinite.

Hall got pushed around pretty bad by the Jets during his snaps in the first half. It’s a bummer, too, since he looked pretty decent during practice last week including when the Bucs shared a joint practice with the same Jets offensive line on Wednesday.

He didn’t record a single defensive stat during live action on Saturday and it begs the question of how effective he’ll be once the season rolls around. Hall isn’t likely to get cut, and it makes sense for the Bucs to ride out the season with him and see if he can make an impact when it matters, but it’s hard to say he’s done much to give anyone much confidence that will end up happening.
