When it comes to outside linebacker, the Bucs have one of the best in the business with Shaquill Barrett on the right side. Starting opposite of Barrett is 2021 first-round pick Joe Tryon-Shoyinka. Those two will be manning the main roles, with veteran Anthony Nelson the first man off the reserves right now.

But, this year's third-round pick Yaya Diaby is right there as another firm backup, sitting behind Tryon-Shoyinka. Those are likley the Bucs' four outside linebackers they'll keep. If they were to keep any more, Tampa Bay would most likely retain this year's sixth-round pick Jose Ramirez rather than attempting to sneak him onto the practice squad.

The first guy on the outside looking in will probably be veteran Cam Gill, who didn't play last year after going on IR and has just 17 total tackles during his career dating back to 2020.

Beyond Gill, the Bucs have former undrafted linebacker Charles Snowden and veteran Hamilcar Rashed. Both of these guys might have more of a fighting chance to be a practice squad candidate, but Rashed has only appeared in one career NFL game after going undrafted in 2021. He's a candidate to be cut early on.
