Trade Number 3: A Mike Evans trade Tampa Bay cannot refuse
If the Bucs entertained selling at the deadline, one player that makes sense to move is veteran wide receiver Mike Evans. However, Tampa Bay has remained insistent that he is not going to be traded.
If another team made a tempting offer, though, how could the Buccaneers say no? The team clearly won't re-sign Evans this offseason, and the wideout even gave the Bucs an ultimatum before the season started. Tampa Bay didn't make an offer for a new contract, which makes their intentions very clear.
The Baltimore Ravens are a team that could be one piece away from a title run, and that piece is clearly a dominant wide receiver for Lamar Jackson to work with. Rookie Zay Flowers has been fantastic, but he's not an outside presence like Evans.
Giving Jackson a weapon like Evans on the outside, with Mark Andrews being a threat in the middle and Flowers being used everywhere, could make this Ravens team almost unstoppable. Plus, a second-round pick would be incredibly hard to refuse if you're the Bucs. For a player on the last year of his contract, that's a top-tier type of return.
